Pablo Calabro
General secretary
Pablo Calabro, in addition to being the Vice President of the IIDCA, is an outstanding personality of Commune N 7 of the City of Buenos Aires, where he has carried out many actions both for solidarity and for the improvement of the life of the people of Buenos Aires.
Throughout his more than 40 years of experience in the public sector, he has also worked as a merchant in Parque Chacabuco, allowing him to know all the needs of the neighborhood, generating street openings and an infinity of solidarity activities in other parts of the Capital. as in Bajo Flores and in Soldati among others.
From a very young age he has been passionate about politics and social justice. His beginnings have been as an adviser to the well-remembered Oscar Allende, and as a fervent follower of Raúl Alfonsín. In the more than four decades of management, the most outstanding participations have been in the General Directorate of transit, in the Council of deliberators, as General Director CGP 5 with Enrique Olivera, and above all as Head of Advisors to Presidents of the legislature for many years.
The list of activities in addition to continuing to manage the historic family ice cream parlor that his parents founded since 1960 have been many. The passion to manage and help those who have less also led him to be an adviser to Deputies and Senators, to work for the elderly, and to be the vice president of the Utopia Civil Association. All his public and private activities have made him a tireless idealist of those few left. His role at IIDCA is key because he is in charge of all the public management of our foundation.
